WP Know What to Expect on Saturday

Vodacom Western Province coach Allister Coetzee says they're expecting a direct style of play from the Free State Cheetahs at Newlands on Saturday.

Coetzee says the Cheetahs are likely to ask alot more questions of their defence because they tend to attack the advantage line quite directly. The coach also expects fierce competition at the breakdown from Heinrich Brussouw and Hendro Scholtz. That aspect will be especially important if the heavens open up as predicted.

The Cape can expect an 80 percent chance of rain for this weekend. Another aspect which will be interesting to watch in wet weather conditions will be the performance of the two flyhalves. Former WP pivot Chris Rossouw and current WP flyhalf Willem de Waal have swapped jerseys and the match could very well boil down to a kicking duel between the two. De Waal has the upper hand over Rossouw because he's played in four Currie Cup finals, three of which he's helped the Cheetahs to win.

So Province will be looking to de Waal to kick the points and put the Cheetahs on the back foot while they'll be hoping their loose trio can nulify Brussouw and Scholtz at the breakdown.
